About Impact Per Dollar

Impact Per Dollar is a small, independent news and research site with one question: when you give a dollar to charity, where does it do the most good? We read evaluations, trial results and charity filings, then write them up in plain language with every number cited and dated.

Who runs it

The site is published by the team behind Elections Simplified, a nonpartisan guide to what is on your ballot. Both sites share a habit: show the evidence, name the source, and let readers decide.

How it is funded

Out of pocket. No charity, foundation or fund pays for placement or reviews. We take no referral or affiliate fees from donation links. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page and on every affected article.

What we are not

We are not financial or tax advisers, and we do not evaluate individual charities ourselves. We report on the work of evaluators such as GiveWell, Founders Pledge, Animal Charity Evaluators and academic researchers, and we explain where they agree and disagree.
